It Feels Good to Just Know

It always sounded like an untruth to me. An untruth of mythological proportions.

"When you meet him, you'll just know."

Vague, insubstantial, no clear direction and instruction on how to get there but all the same...tantalizing. Just a simple sentence begging the cynical, lonely and unfulfilled person in me to believe. I can honestly say that before you, I never knew. I knew the high school drama of stuttering the word b-b-b-boyfriend for the first time. I knew the agonizing pain of unrequited "love" that would end the following week with a "WHAT was I thinking???" and much MUCH laughter in years to come. I knew the passing of time, I knew boredom, I knew comfort and I knew security. I knew friendship. I even knew about not knowing, but choosing to stay anyways.

And then you came into my life...and I just knew. I really did. And the best part of it is that knowing doesn't mean that you or I are perfection embodied - but regardless, we fit perfectly together - two halves to make a whole, and we will stumble through this life as a team, blazing an imperfect and messy trail while having the most amazing adventure along the way.

I thank God for you every single moment of every single day.

Thank you for loving me husband.

Your Wife

I'm TOTALLY taking credit for the inspiration behind this quote...he, he, he....

One of my good friends got married to a man that writes songs and sings in a band - he wrote her a song for their wedding entitled, "You know when you know."

This seems to be a recurring theme.

Wish I knew the "knowing" feeling. For now, I'll just have to take your word for it that it actually exists!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Love,
Taj
